Dear friends, family, & fans of Tina Colón, We are excited to announce the upcoming release of Advent Unplugged, a Christmas-themed album featuring Tina along with Shyla Norful and myself (Juliet Buesing). Also featuring percussionist Ethan Smith, cellist Kevin Olusola, and award-winning harpist Kristan Tokzco, Advent Unplugged is a collection of five beautiful, acoustic arrangements of our favorite Christmas carols, plus the debut of an original piece. The album should be out in just a few weeks (December 8th is our scheduled release), but you can pre-order now on Tina's website, to have it shipped to you as soon as possible so you can enjoy it this holiday season. For those of you who live in the New Haven area, please stay tuned for additional information regarding the album release celebration and concert. All proceeds from this album go towards Agape Church for the Homeless, an organization that seeks to love, serve, and empower the homeless and low-income community in New Haven. Both Tina and I are very involved in Agape leadership and are excited to see the ways the community is moving forward right now. This cause is really close to our hearts, and really was the inspiration for the CD. The idea of waiting in hope for better things is something we all need to hear, but it's especially what we have in our hearts for our friends at Agape. Agape is currently fundraising to buy a building in order to serve the community better, and all album funds (as well as other donations) will go towards Agape's new home. In a way, by investing in this Christmas album, you are helping to build a home for the homeless here in our city. To learn more about Agape, or about how to donate additionally, please visit Agape's website.
Thank you guys so much for your unending support and encouragement. It is so wonderful knowing that our music can be a blessing to you all, and also a way to invite you all into the work we're doing here in our city. We couldn't do it without you.
much love, Juliet (& Tina & Shyla)

Greetings friends & fans of Tina Colón!
I am excited to let you all know that Tina is headlining a full concert next Saturday night (September 11), at a well-known coffeehouse event in Milford, CT. For those of you not in town, please wish us luck and keep us in your thoughts and prayers. For those who are in the area, please join! It should be a really fun evening, beginning with a potluck dinner and continuing on with a collection of originals and cover songs performed by Tina and the regular crew (Shyla Norful, myself, Kevin Su, Leon Powell, & Esteban Garza). While the church anticipates a crowd of their own that regularly attends these events, we would really love some support from our home crowd, so if you are interested in attending the concert, or driving people to the concert (or coordinating said rides!), please let me know! We'd love to have you there.
